Dr. Du is a M.D, chief physician, professor, supervisor of postgraduate candidate of Beijing Tiantan Hospital affliated to Capital Medical University.

Dr. Du graduated from the Second Medical College of Beijing in 1977 and got master degree in 1985. As a visiting scholar, he studied in Belgium Liege University Hospital and Washington University Hospital, USA, from 1989 to 1992. Now he is the director of Cardiology Division of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, and the English Staff Room for Fifth Medical Department of Capital Medical University. He is the member of Cardiology Department, Expert Panel and World Hypertension Liaison Committee, standing editor of the Chinese Journal of Cardiovascular Review, and committeeman of Ethical Committee of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. He has been undertaking the study on heart damage caused by brain injury, and ischemic pretreatment and its mechanism. His subjects were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, Capital Medicine Scientific Research Development Foundation, the Science Research Foundation of Basic-Clinical Cooperation of Capital Medical University, and the National Key Technology R&D Program in the 11th Five-Year Period. He has published more than 80 articles and 4 SCI articles. He was awarded the first class prize of Science and Technology Achievements, Beijing Board of Health, and the second prize of Excellent Articles in Chinese Cardiovascular Journal. He is good at the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, arrhythmia, heart failure, and valve disease, especially at the intervention treatment of cardiovascular disease.
