Dr. Zhang is the director of Respiratory and Infection Department, Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University. He got master degree of respiration.
Dr. Zhang focuses on interventional bronchoscopy techniques and critical care medicine.
In 2005, Dr. Zhang was a visiting scholar for the diagnosis and treatment center of pulmonary diseases in Hemer, Germany, which is one of the three largest centers of interventional brochoscopy. Then he continued to study in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Harbor Hospital and Mercy Hospital in USA, because of such kind of experiences, he accumulated abundant experience both in theory and clinic skills.
From 2004 to 2008, Dr. Zhang and his colleagues have hold 5 interventional brochoscopy sessions successfully, all of which were warmly welcomed by respiratory doctors and pushed the development of respiratory minimally invasive therapy in China.
Dr. Zhang won the second Technology Prize by Beijing Health Bureau in 1994, and the second Beijing Technology Improvement Prize by Beijing Government in 1996. He was elected as Procession Individual of Beijing Health System in 1999, and Excellent Medical Worker as Wang Zhongcheng in 2003.
Dr. Zhang is a member and the secretary of Chinese Medical Association (CMS) Infection Committee in Beijing, member of respiratory branch of Chinese Doctor Academy, and faculty of Respiratory and Infection Department of Capital Medical University. He also serves as a drug review expert of sFDA, and member of review committee for high-grade professional title in Beijing, member of editorial board for several journals, such as International Journal of Respiratory, Journal of Clinical Pulmonary Medicine and Journal of Minimally Invasive Medicine, etc.
He has published over 60 scientific articles and book chapters.
